Acme Oyster House in Miramar Beach

Great service, quick turnaround on oysters, apps, and variety of dinners. Will be back more than once during a one week trip for the excellent food and staff.

While it may not be fair to compare with the New Orleans location it was good but not as good as New Orleans. Char grilled oysters were delicious and the Po Boy was good.

New location is not as fun as the old one. Really expensive even at happy hour

I expected more flavor from an "authentic" Cajun/ Creole establishment. The drinks were good. Oysters were fresh (the grilled oysters were delicious). Service could be improved (waited quite awhile to be acknowledged upon entry).

This place is awesome! I went for my 30th birthday. When the manager found out I wanted to try oysters for the first time ever on my birthday, he came out and taught me all about how to eat them and personally shucked my oysters for me. I wish I could give this place 6 stars. Food was awesome, waitress was great. Overall, a great experience!

The food is pretty good. The atmosphere is good. The service was great, we had questions and he had answers. He basically knew the entire menu by heart. That was pretty cool. I recommend it

We had a wonderful server! We order the dinner for two and there was enough food for there or four! The food was delicious! We will come back when we visit again!

This was the most delicious oyster poboy ever! It was actually 1/2 oyster 1/2 shrimp and cooked to fresh, finger licking perfection. The red beans and rice was so authentic. 😋 I can't wait to vacay here again so I can have more of this deliciousness. Not to mention the polite and speedy service... So impressive. 👍🏾

Gotta say not super impressed. Food was about standard fair, nothing that really raised above any other seafood spot. The Oysters are good but nothing I though was top level. For me Bosamps has a better overall menu and the oysters are equal or better. The Mint Julep was 5 stars though.

The food is ok. The sevice could be better. When my girlfriend was undecided about the wine the server snapped at her said " you have to pick one. Instead of explaining the different brands. Then we waited and waited to order. When the server returned we asked if she forgot us. She snapped back she was waiting for her wine she didn't forget us. She could have taken our order while she waited for her wine and when we mentioned to her she took a long time she could have apologized instead of being defensive. I wish I could remember her name . I don't remember her telling us. It was May 26 we had the table next to the server station.

My family had a great meal here. Boom Boom shrimp appetizer was really good. I had the Acme Special PoBoy, I'm from South LA, home of po boys and thus was probably the best poboy I have eaten in my 42 years of existence. My son had blackened fish of the day (Mahi-Mahi) poboy. He said it had a nice crust and was juicy on the inside. Just how blackened fish should be. Wife had a shrimp poboy that she enjoyed, shrimp were fried just right. Daughter had the French Fries with Roast beef gravy as her meal, she said it was probably the best roast beef shes ever had in a restaurant. Hush puppies were a little undercooked on the inside, fries were just a tad soggy. Service was Excellent. Price was about what you would expect $78 for 4 people with drinks and an App. Overall very satisfied.

We love this place! Started eating at the New Orleans Location 30 years ago. The food is always great at any location.

Our waitress was wonderful! The food was horrible. Over cooked dried out crab cakes. Under cooked hush puppies that are to sweet. Sweet doesn’t belong in hush puppies at all. Sweet tea was not sweet at all!! Out of a family of 5, our 9 year olds meal of chicken tenders and fries was the best meal. At 2 o’clock in the morning both our 20 year old and I took turns throwing up crab cakes. Will not eat here again.

This was my 1st visit and it was awesome. The staff was nice and made suggestions on what to try. It was a few of us at our table so we got a few different dishes. We started with the charbroiled oysters and fried crab claws. Both were delicious. Shrimp Po Boys had so much shrimp that the extra ones could have been a separate appetizer. They have a full bar as well. The bathroom was very clean, which is always a good sign for me. Will definitely return on my next visit.

The Captains platter was fantastic. Service was perfect. The food wasn't overly priced. And, what was really impressive was how clean the place was. Everything was just as good, if not better than your restaurant in Covington La. Good job Acme.

Although we were missing the atmosphere of New Orleans, the grilled oysters and debris po boys were on point! Was excited to find one on Miramar Beach!

Good location at the entrance of Seascape resort. We ordered the Blackened Seared Tuna Nachos and they were very bland. It was fried pita chips, lettuce, guacamole and seared tuna. Not much flavor so i wouldn’t recommend that particular dish. The Boom Boom Shrimp appetizer was really good. It is listed as an appetizer but it’s a fairly large portion so you could actually have it as a meal. The fried Shrimp platter was great as well. Also... THE CHARBROILED OYSTERS ARE FANTASTIC! I’d say the best thing on the menu is by far the oysters. Overall, we were very happy with our meal and service.

Awesome food! The Fresh Oysters are truly fresh, and taste great. Didn't quite have the courage to go for the 15 dozen oyster challenge, but all the food including the Captain's Platter were super tasty. Would go here again! (P.S. in case you forgot you were in Florida, GO FOR THAT KEY LIME PIE!)

Satisfied my oyster desire for raw and grilled. Mahi was good. Fried crab claws not so good.

Best food in Destin. I had the seafood gumbo, ponchatrain, and key lime pie.I’ve eaten at Acme in New Orleans and this location in Destin was just as good.

Came to this area during Christmas and was craving for oyster. And Acme did not disappoint. My and hubby has a dozen of raw and a dozen of grilled and I could’ve easily inhale another round of these deliciousness!!! Service is quick and friendly and price is very reasonable compared to others in this area. We didn’t try anything else but I’ll come back just for the oysters!!!!

Not recommended during COVID. I went for lunch at 11:30am and asked for a table outside. There were about 10 tables. The manager told me they are closed for the outside. I advised that during COVID is the time to serve outdoors. He responded 99% of customers want to eat inside. He also mentioned his waiters can’t handle it. I ordered To-Go and they charged me extra for it. The food was awful compared to New Orleans.

Oysters are amazing . I also had the chicken and andouille gumbo. Service was great. Zachary S did a wonderful job.

Service was fair, food was bland and did not taste fresh. We had alligator, shrimp, fish, oysters, and chicken. The wait time after ordering was approximately 1 hour and the server did not visit the table until delivering the bill (the kitchen delivered the food). Maybe I caught them in an off day, because most reviews are good. But honestly, I can’t recommend.

The muffuletta was so good! My friend had the chargrilled oysters with garlic butter and cheese. She goes every year for that one dish. The service was excellent too.

The wife and I have been fans of Acme Oyster House for many years. We found the one in New Orleans, and have been hooked ever since. This one is far more refined, quit and refrained than New Orleans, and they don't offer some of the items that we like. That said, overall it is very good. We frequent here whenever we are in the area.

Good Florida bar and grill atmosphere. Staff was polite and attentive. Expect to pay 20.00 per plate if you purchase an appetizer. Our food was good but didn't command the higher price in my opinion. I had the grilled shrimp salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing and the dressing was really good but the shrimp were fishy. I would go back here for dinner or lunch.

I go for the Boo Fries. Others go for the seafood. Win, win.

All Good! Even during covid-social distancing. Atmosphere was great and it was refreshing to have a welcoming atmosphere. All the servers were very attentive. Ours was working the bar and our table..Brandon you absolutely Rock! Oysters--you can't get any better, Boom boom shrimp totally hit the spot, gumbo and jambalaya were a win win! Will definitely come back!!

Charbroiled oysters were great, everything else was pretty mediocre.

We went here because our first choice was 2 hour wait and really glad we did. 10 minute wait. The staff was friendly, our waitress was fun and had suggestions when we asked. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the crawfish tail po-boy it was awesome. Some other dishes we had was boom boom shrimp, fried pontchartrain (sp), and seafood platter. All was high quality food fresh and delicious! Would go back for sure.

This place never disappoints. I love that they are still practicing social distancing with the customers. The food comes out quick, hot and fresh. I came from Georgia so I could eat like crazy from this place. Their Chargrilled Oysters are😋😋😋🔥🔥. If your ever visiting this way please stop by this place. Our waitress Shante was beyond Awesome!

The atmosphere was very nice you know you are in a Florida oyster bar. The wait was a little long but that was because of COVID so I don’t hold that against them just be aware and make sure you go by and put your name on the list early. My party tried a wide range of dishes and each was very good. The gumbo and po boys were very good. The raw oysters were fresh and delicious. Everything was clean and the staff was professional. I would come back again.

The food is great and the service is excellent . Plan to return at least two times as month. Thank you Jason.

There’s much to like about Acme Oyster House and there was nothing I found to dislike. The service was excellent, the oysters fresh and well chilled, the ambience of the restaurant was perfect, everything was spotlessly clean. My wife and really enjoyed our meal there and will return at the next opportunity. The po boy sandwiches were the best I’ve ever had anywhere. I highly recommend this establishment.

Best garlic pares an oysters I've ever eaten and Jambalaya too! We came back the next day for more. Social distancing good and nice atmosphere.

Super fine, we lived in New Orleans 35 yes. This is da best!!!

I really enjoyed this place. Had fried oyster... And I am gluten free. They corn dust the freshly shucked oysters. Fried to perfection. Service was great and the place it really well designed.
